Delivery is made by Japan Post via the EMS service, which includes:
- a tracking number
- transport insurance
- delivery against recipient's signature
The customer expressly acknowledges that delivery is considered fully completed once the package is marked as "delivered" by the carrier and a receipt signature has been recorded at the address indicated during the order.
The proof of delivery provided by the carrier, including delivery status and signature, constitutes sufficient and definitive proof of proper delivery.
From this moment, cardsinjapan's responsibility ceases.
Consequently, cardsinjapan cannot be held responsible in case of:
- theft occurred after delivery
- loss after delivery
- delivery of the package to a third party present at the indicated address
- incorrect address provided by the customer
- or any other situation occurred after official confirmation of delivery by the carrier
Any claim concerning delivery must be addressed directly to the carrier by the customer. cardsinjapan can provide the necessary information for this process.
Refusal of delivery and non-payment of customs duties
Taxes and Customs Fees: By checking the box for acceptance of the GTC before payment of the order, the buyer acknowledges being the official importer of the products. All customs fees, local taxes (VAT), and administrative fees requested by the carrier or the authorities of the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Consequences of Package Refusal: In the event of the package being refused by the buyer to avoid payment of import taxes, or in the event of the package not being claimed from the carrier, the refund for the order will be partial.
The following will be systematically deducted from the refund:
-
Initial shipping costs (the transport service having been executed).
-
Non-refundable transaction and conversion fees (Shopify/Stripe/PayPal payment processor fees) between 4% and 6% of the total order amount.
-
A flat restocking fee of 10% of the product price to cover administrative processing of the return.
The refund will only be processed after receipt and inspection of the returned package at our offices in Japan.
If this refusal of the package leads to its destruction, abandonment, or confiscation by customs authorities, thus preventing the return of the merchandise in its entirety, no refund will be issued.
ARTICLE 6: cardsinjapan Storage Service
6.1 Definition of the service
The cardsinjapan Storage service allows the buyer, hereinafter referred to as the client, to request temporary storage of purchased products, after full payment, on cardsinjapan's premises, without immediate shipment. The storage duration is capped at 30 calendar days.
This service allows the client to group several orders to optimize shipping costs.
Stored products remain the client's property subject to compliance with these GTC.
To benefit from this service, it will be necessary, at the time of payment and in the ''shipping'' section, to select the ''Cardsinjapan Storage addora'' option.
From your first order, the client benefits from a 30-day storage period. The delivery request must be made before the end of this period.
The client can manage their orders and shipments themselves from their customer account.
6.2 Non-payment or exceeding the deadline
If the client does not request shipment within 30 days, cardsinjapan reserves the right, after prior notification, to:
- cancel the order
- proceed with a partial refund of 85%
The 15% retained corresponds to the actual costs incurred, including:
- transaction fees
- currency conversion fees
- administrative fees
- logistical costs
- storage fees
6.3 Cancellation at the client's initiative – cardsinjapan Storage Service
Any order placed with the cardsinjapan Storage service implies an explicit request for storage at the client's request, with deferred shipment.
Due to the nature of this service, any cancellation request made by the client after full payment and during the storage period will result in a partial refund limited to 85% of the total order amount.
The 15% retained corresponds to the actual fees and costs incurred by cardsinjapan, including in particular:
- transaction fees of payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, or others)
- currency conversion fees
- administrative fees
- logistical costs
- storage fees
- as well as risks related to fluctuations in the collectible products market
The client expressly acknowledges that the cardsinjapan Storage service constitutes a personalized storage service provided at their request, involving immobilization of the product for an indefinite period, making its immediate resale uncertain and potentially resulting in a decrease in the market value of the products concerned.
By validating an order with the cardsinjapan Storage service, the client expressly accepts that in case of cancellation at their initiative, the refund can in no case be equal to 100% of the amount paid, but will be limited to 85%.
This clause applies regardless of the time elapsed between the order and the cancellation request.
ARTICLE 7: Order cancellation before shipment
The client may request cancellation of their order as long as it has not yet been shipped.
If the order has not yet been shipped and does not benefit from the cardsinjapan Storage Addora service, a refund will be issued, less the non-recoverable costs incurred by cardsinjapan, namely:
- 3.9% of the total order amount corresponding to transaction fees if the payment platform is Shopify Payments
- 2% of the total amount corresponding to currency conversion fees
If payment is made via Paypal, transaction fees amount to 4.1% + 0.35 cents + potential additional fees charged by Paypal.
These fees are charged by payment providers and are not refunded to cardsinjapan in case of a refund.
The client expressly accepts this retention by validating their order.
This clause does not apply to orders placed with the cardsinjapan Storage service, which are subject to the specific conditions defined in ARTICLE 6.
Once the order has been shipped, no cancellation will be possible.
ARTICLE 8: Fraud and chargeback
Any fraud or abusive chargeback may lead to:
- account suspension
- refusal of future orders
- transmission to competent authorities
ARTICLE 9: Right of withdrawal
The client has a right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the products.
However, this right applies to both new and used products, provided that the product is returned in its original, unused, unopened condition, with all its accessories.
Used cards are described in their actual condition.
If a return is exercised, return costs are borne by the client.
If these conditions are met, a refund of the order(s) will be made corresponding to the total amount paid by the client, from which transaction and conversion fees corresponding to the payment method used will be deducted.
The product must be returned with proof of shipment. After this period or if the conditions are not met, no refund will be issued.
ARTICLE 10: Warranty and conformity
Products sold by cardsinjapan correspond to their description.
Used products may show normal signs of wear.
In case of receipt of an incorrect product or one with a major defect not mentioned, the client must contact cardsinjapan within 48 hours of receipt, at the following address:
contact.cardsinjapan@gmail.com
or
contact@cardsinjapan.com
The client must provide:
- clear photos
- a description of the problem
After verification, cardsinjapan may, at its discretion:
- offer a partial refund, or
- accept a return with a refund
No claims will be accepted after this deadline.
ARTICLE 11: Liability
cardsinjapan cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from:
- improper use of the product
- normal wear and tear
- inappropriate storage by the client
- fluctuations in the market value of collectibles
cardsinjapan cannot be held responsible for delays attributable to the carrier, customs, or circumstances beyond its control.
cardsinjapan's liability is limited to the order amount.
